This is a hoot. The so-so Swedish crime drama about a former FBI criminal profiler returns for a second series with a storyline so preposterous that it somehow works. “For the next 36 hours Sweden is responsible for the US president’s safety,” says the cop/mountain man Ingvar as Stockholm prepares for the visit of Helen Tyler, the said president. (Modus is not the first drama to be caught out by Donald Trump’s election victory.) Well then, Ingvar, you’d best not lose her.
