Movies 2017 Online: Review Of New Al Pacino Thriller, ‘Hangman’

Currently available on popular online and VOD platforms (like Google Play Movies and Amazon Video) is one of the newest movies of 2017, Hangman. Hangman is the latest title of movies in Al Pacino’s lengthy cinematic career, and the feature is also set for a limited theatrical release starting on December 22, 2017. Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect 2) and Karl Urban (Thor: Ragnarok) co-star alongside Pacino, and the picture is directed by Johnny Martin (Vengeance: A Love Story).

There was heavy publicity for Hangman after the trailer debuted last October. Filled with intense montages and action-packed clips, the trailer makes the feature look like edge-of-your-seat material. Plus, fans look forward to anything featuring the legendary Al Pacino. But with audiences and critics alike largely disappointed with the film, it looks as though the movie couldn’t live up to the hype from the trailer.

With over 2,000 votes, Hangman has a score of

Lawlor may have killed more than twice, profiler says

“This guy’s an excellent suspect” in the Toronto disappearances, said Mellor, a criminologist and profiler specializing in abnormal homicide and sex crimes and bestselling author of “Cold North Killers: Canadian Serial Murder.”

“He’s definitely worth looking at.”

Just because he didn’t live in the Toronto area shouldn’t rule him out as a possible suspect, Mellor said.

“He is, after all, a serial killer of homosexual males. Finding evidence to eliminate Lawlor would serve to narrow the suspect pool, while failing to do so would leave loose ends.”

John Davie, who had three-way sex with Lawlor and McCreadie the night of McCreadie’s murder, agrees there could be more victims.

“That’s a 30-year gap” between the Newfoundland and Kitchener killings, Davie said in an interview. “Yeah, chances are there’s more than likely other cases in between there.”

Davie himself came close to being a victim. Before murdering McCreadie, Lawlor wrapped a scarf around Davie’s neck during sex and

Mindhunter season 2 plot: The Atlanta child murders

Warning: This article contains spoilers and speculation for Mindhunter season 2.

The first season of Netflix’s David Fincher-produced serial true-crime series Mindhunter challenged viewers to ask one resounding question: Are criminals born, or are they formed?

The ‘70s era series grapples with that question as FBI agent Ford Holden conducts the first criminal research of its kind on the minds of the most infamous serial killers, all while dealing with the bureaucratic concerns of the FBI, his increasingly rocky relationship, and his own insatiable ego. Without delving too deeply into the twisted timelines in season 1, let’s just say Ford discovered the hard way that there is no black and white answer.

Lucky for fans of the series, Mindhunter will continue to enthrall in its exploration of the minds of criminals during its second season. Here’s everything we know about Mindhunter season 2 so far.

He systematically eliminates the eight members of the d’Ascoyne family – all played by Guinness – separating him from the title. Imprisoned for another crime he did not commit, he starts writing his own memoirs.

English director Robert Hamer worked on war documentaries during World War II, after which he helmed several movies until his death in 1963. Acclaimed actor Guinness was a former star of

‘Insidious Intent’ shows Val McDermid deserves her Queen of Crime crown

Val McDermid’s first crime novel, “Report for Murder,” was published in 1987 while the Scottish native worked in as Northern bureau chief for a Sunday tabloid. In the three decades that followed, McDermid penned more than thirty other novels spanning four crime series as well as half a dozen stand-alone novels, several short story collections and nonfiction books on forensics and private investigators. McDermid’s body of work has earned her the nickname “Queen of Crime” in the British press, a title bestowed, in earlier times, on Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers and, more recently, P.D. James and Ruth Rendell. At her best, McDermid has an agile, curious mind, adept at plumbing the psyches of diverse characters with insight and sensitivity, and an ability to make forensic science and technology accessible, even as she tips her hat to the techniques and plot devices of an earlier era.

“Insidious Intent,” the tenth to
