Varese Sarabande Announces ‘Hangman’ Soundtrack

Varèse Sarabande will release the Hangman – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally and on CD January 26, 2018. The album features the original music composed by Frederik Wiedmann.

Decorated homicide detective Ray Archer (Al Pacino) partners with criminal profiler Will Ruiney (Karl Urban) to catch one of the city’s notoriously vicious serial killers, who is playing a twisted version of murder using the child’s game… HANGMAN, while journalist Christi Davies (Brittany Snow) reports on the crime spree, shadowing the detectives.

“When I read the script I immediately had a sense of what this film will have to feel like,” Wiedmann described. Rather than gearing towards more traditional horror tropes, “we made the determination that we have a much stronger emotional component – a rather tragic backstory of our two detectives – that the score couldn’t ignore.”

In addition to a standard orchestral palette, “I did however use fair amount of solo cello, haunting

Movies 2017 Online: Review Of New Al Pacino Thriller, ‘Hangman’

Currently available on popular online and VOD platforms (like Google Play Movies and Amazon Video) is one of the newest movies of 2017, Hangman. Hangman is the latest title of movies in Al Pacino’s lengthy cinematic career, and the feature is also set for a limited theatrical release starting on December 22, 2017. Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect 2) and Karl Urban (Thor: Ragnarok) co-star alongside Pacino, and the picture is directed by Johnny Martin (Vengeance: A Love Story).

There was heavy publicity for Hangman after the trailer debuted last October. Filled with intense montages and action-packed clips, the trailer makes the feature look like edge-of-your-seat material. Plus, fans look forward to anything featuring the legendary Al Pacino. But with audiences and critics alike largely disappointed with the film, it looks as though the movie couldn’t live up to the hype from the trailer.

With over 2,000 votes, Hangman has a score of

Al Pacino Looks Like He’s At The Top Of His Game In ‘Hangman’ Trailer

A trailer was released early Tuesday morning for Al Pacino’s upcoming movie “Hangman.”

The plot of the movie, according to the YouTube description, is, “A homicide detective teams up with a criminal profiler to catch a serial killer whose crimes are inspired by the children’s game Hangman.”

The cop-thriller also stars Karl Urban and Brittany Snow.

I’m glad to see Pacino is back at the top of his game. You might as well go right into my wallet this very second and take the money out of it. There’s zero chance I’m missing a Pacino film where he plays a cop who doesn’t follow the rules, a serial killer is involved and he’s about to go off the rails.

That’s a formula for movie gold if I’ve ever heard it. Where are we setting the body count for this film? Something tells it’ll be somewhere north of 10.

We can all find when it’s

Al Pacino and Karl Urban hunt a serial killer in the thriller Hangman

I used to play hangman when I was a kid but then I grew up. Apparently serial killers don’t, and one has turned the harmless children’s pastime (unless you count millions of hanged stick figures) into a twisted game of cat and mouse. The mice in this instance are played by Karl Urban, as a no-nonsense police detective, and Al Pacino, as a former profiler who’s happily dragged out of retirement to pursue a case with links to his past.

The official plot synopsis is as follows:

A detective and a criminal profiler pursue a serial killer whose crimes are inspired by a children’s game called hangman.

Crime thrillers like these have been a dime a dozen over the years, particularly for TV-based crime procedurals that’ve covered serial killers and their twisted games ad nauseum. It doesn’t help that it was written by the pair

‘Hangman’ Trailer: Al Pacino Plays Deadly Game With Serial Killer

“I don’t want to see them die for what I did,” growls Al Pacino as the grizzled homicide detective in Johnny Martin’s upcoming crime thriller Hangman. This new trailer doesn’t make clear exactly what Pacino did – whether he missed a vowel or consonant in the child’s game of the title, or maybe something worse – but victims are hanging around all over town.

Set to the tune of “House of the Rising Sun,” the trailer introduces us to Pacino’s homicide detective Ray Archer and his criminal-profiling partner Will Ruiney (Karl Urban). They’re trying to catch a notoriously vicious serial killer who is playing a twisted version of the kids’ game Hangman. Brittany Snow plays journalist Christi Davies, shadowing the detectives.

Martin, exec producing along with Jonathan Saba, directed from a script by Michael Caissie Charles Huttinger, and Phil Hawkins.
