Newtown Police: FBI Document On Sandy Hook School Shooting Had Inaccurate Report

Recently released FBI documents on the Sandy Hook School shooting had an inaccurate report, the FBI and Newtown police said in a statement on Friday night.

The agencies said the inaccurate report detailed a call to the police department in 2008 warning that Adam Lanza had spoken about shooting children at the elementary school and also talked about killing his mother.

“Newtown PD has been working closely with the FBI on verifying information on the referenced report. A comprehensive search of our records indicate that the person named in the report is not on record as ever contacting the agency in 2008 or subsequent to that date,” Newtown Police Chief James Viadero said.

The report was included in a 1,500 page document released by the FBI on Tuesday.

Newtown School Shooter Adam Lanza Was Pedophile Who Wanted to ‘Save’ Kids, New FBI Documents Say

Newtown school shooter Adam Lanza was a pedophile who thought he was saving children by killing them and was in such denial that he suffered from Asperger’s syndrome that he refused medication for the disease.

The bombshell revelations were the first details from the FBI’s secret trove of documents, which detail the bureau’s investigation after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, on December, 14, 2012. About 1,500 pages of documents released Tuesday show Lanza didn’t snap but rather planned his attack for more than a year, researching other mass shooting and smashing his computer’s hard drive before he killed his mother and then left the gun-filled home he shared with her to kill 20 children and six teachers.

The documents shed light on some of the unknown aspects of the attack, but there is still much about Lanza, his planning and why he chose Sandy Hook that remains unclear—even though it’s been nearly five years since the shooting
