For 17 years, Ted Kaczynski (known as the Unabomber) orchestrated a reign of terror in the United States before he was finally captured in 1996. The drama series Manhunt: Unabomber details the FBI’s hunt for this criminal mastermind who killed three people and injured 23 in a series of bombings targeting universities, airlines and businesses. A range of big-name actors star in the drama including Sam Worthington, Paul Bettany, Chris Noth, Jane Lynch and New Zealand’s Keisha Castle-Hughes, who plays Tabby Milgrim, an agent who partners with criminal profiler Jim Fitzgerald (Sam Worthington).

Set in 1979, Mindhunter follows two special agents as they introduce criminal profiling to the FBI, using knowledge gleaned from interviewing serial killers to crack ongoing cases.

The show is produced by David Fincher – we already know from 2007′s Zodiac that he knows his way around a tense crime saga, so we’re very interested in this.

Is it a true story?

Tin Star Trailer and Release Date for Amazon’s Tim Roth Cop Series

Amazon is on quite the tear when it comes to nabbing exclusive domestic rights for a wide variety of peak television content for its streaming service Amazon Prime. Now, the upcoming small-town police drama Tin Star, headlined by Tim Roth, will be the latest to join the lineup, arriving exclusively in the U.S. on Amazon Prime and Sky Atlantic in the U.K. with a 10-episode inaugural season.

The Tin Star trailer has arrived, showing a cop series that seems to mix some levity-infused Twin Peaks “big city lawman in an eccentric small town” idiosyncrasies with a dark conspiracy centering on the activities of a local oil company.

Tin Star Season 1 Trailer

Tim Roth stars as Jim Worth, a British expat who serves as the police chief in a tranquil Canadian Rockies town called Little Big Bear; a radically new locale to which he brought his family in search of a better

Thank You Netflix: The New Creepy Series We Can’t Wait For

Within the first 20 seconds, you know David Fincher’s new Netflix show is all about the dark side. And is there anything quite as creepy as a series which aims to delve into the minds of serial killers? From the look of the trailer alone, we’re going with no. Fincher is a master when it comes to suspense and surprise horror twists – his body of work includes Seven, Zodiac and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo – so his new series Mindhunter continues into that uneasy territory. And we’ve a feeling, despite the dark subject matter, we’ll be adding this to our binge-watch lists.

Produced by Charlize Theron, the series follows Agent Ford (played by Jonathan Groff) as he and a colleague interview imprisoned psychopaths and let cops in on their findings. This is termed criminal profiling but back then – in the 1970s – the terminology didn’t exist.  Based on

Review: Discovery scores explosive win with Unibomber series

There was a time when the nation was terrorized by a single man, and he was neither sitting in the White House with his hand on the Button nor holed up in a cave in Afghanistan plotting his next move against America.

The Unabomber eluded capture for a decade and half, sending most of his deadly packages through the U.S. mail, ultimately killing three and injuring more than a dozen until he was finally captured in 1996.

“Manhunt: Unabomber,” the Discovery-scripted series, follows the FBI’s hunt for bomber Theodore Kaczynski (Paul Bettany) through the story of one of its greenest agents, Jim Fitzgerald (Sam Worthington).

Fitzgerald was a criminal profiler who pioneered the use of forensic linguistics while working on the Unabomber case. His painstaking deconstruction of Kaczynski’s letters and brilliant-yet-insane manifesto, “Industrial Society and Its Future,” helped crack the case.

Scripted dramas are fairly new territory. Last year’s “Harley and the Davidsons” was

Be Excited For David Fincher’s New Netflix Series, ‘Mindhunter’

Check out the above trailer for David Fincher’s new series for Netflix, and tell me you’re not excited.

Mindhunter is set to explore the seminal years of criminal profiling, more specifically, the profiling of possibly the most popular monster in fiction, the serial killer. David Fincher has already created two of the greatest films in the serial killer genre; the over-the-top yet terrifying Seven, and the slower, more thoughtful Zodiac.

The antagonist of Seven is the quintessential “genius sociopath.” He’s the guy who’s always one step ahead of the cops, who slowly unveils a master plan using mutilated corpses as visual aides. When it comes to the fictional serial killer, nothing beats Seven.

Zodiac went in a very different direction, exploring the still unsolved case of the “Zodiac killer.” On paper, the Zodiac killer sounds like a fictional supervillain, due to his habit of writing taunting letters to the law enforcement agents
