A press conference will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning at the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office to update the Naomi Jones homicide case.

PENSACOLA, FL (WKRG) —FBI spokesperson Amanda Videll confirms the bureau’s Behavioral Analysis Unit is now on the Naomi Jones case. According to FBI.gov these BAU profilers “have traditionally focused on unusual criminal offenses such as mass murders, serial rape cases, and kidnappings.” Videll however would not confirm whether investigators believe a serial killer may be responsible for the homicide. The FBI itself has been involved in the case for days, even before the 12-year-old’s body was found.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office doesn’t have any suspects in the homicide investigation of 12-year-old Naomi Jones.
